Hi Guys

I've been looking at the new habitats for the Great Crested Newts. The Newts are really rare and will only live where there are no fish, so we've been building special ponds to help them. The ponds dry out in the summer which suit the newts but mean fish, who eat the newts can't live there - neat eh!

I've posted a picture of one on the ponds below, as you can see a lot of plants have already started growing which will really help the newts.

Hello Everybody

Hi Everyone,

I'm Dr. Merideth Fox, but my friends call me Merry. I'm here to tell you what's going on at the Contry Park. I hope we'll have lots of fun together and you'll be able to find out all about the animals and plants that live there.
