Hi Guys,

Well the Park's really comming along well, things are growing everywhere and you wouldn't believe the wildlife that's moving in. The other day I saw a Slow Worm in the park which is actually a legless lizard.

We have also got frogs in the Newt Ponds, if you are careful you will be able to see them, but if not you'll certainly be able to hear them, they're very noisy! If you listen carefully you might also hear our resident Cuckoo who is very active at present.

Hey and don't forget to head along to the free opening event this Saturday.

Hope to see you there

Hi Guys

I've been looking at the new habitats for the Great Crested Newts. The Newts are really rare and will only live where there are no fish, so we've been building special ponds to help them. The ponds dry out in the summer which suit the newts but mean fish, who eat the newts can't live there - neat eh!

I've posted a picture of one on the ponds below, as you can see a lot of plants have already started growing which will really help the newts.

See you later

love

Hello Everybody

Hi Everyone,

I'm Dr. Merideth Fox, but my friends call me Merry. I'm here to tell you what's going on at the Contry Park. I hope we'll have lots of fun together and you'll be able to find out all about the animals and plants that live there. If there are any questions you want answered I'll try and help, and If I don't know the answer I am sure my friend Professor Copyu will know.

Well that's all for now but I will be posting my first entry very soon.

see you soon

Love

Merry
